FAQ overview

What would you like to know more about?

Use the search bar or filter by topic. This way, you can quickly find the answer that fits your situation.

Does my vessel need to come out of the water for an underwater drone inspection?

In many cases, no. The underwater drone inspection is specifically intended to view important parts below the waterline while the vessel stays in the water. This makes it an accessible way to gain more insight without immediately planning a crane or yard visit.

What is checked during a drone inspection?

NautIQX looks at visible attention points on the hull, coating, propeller, rudder, anodes, fittings and the general condition of the underwater parts. It remains a visual inspection, intended to make it clearer what is happening underwater.

Is a drone inspection the same as an official technical survey?

No. An underwater drone inspection is a visual check. It helps recognise visible damage, growth, dirt or irregularities, but it does not replace an official technical, structural or insurance-related survey when that is required.

Do I receive footage of the inspection?

The inspection is focused on visual insight with underwater footage. Depending on the agreement, NautIQX can provide feedback with clear footage or observations, so you better understand which attention points are visible.

Why is hull cleaning important?

Growth, dirt and deposits on the hull create extra resistance in the water. This can make a boat feel heavier, respond less smoothly and move less efficiently. A cleaner hull contributes to more pleasant sailing, a well-kept appearance and better maintenance insight.

Can hull cleaning take place while the boat is in the water?

In many situations, this is possible. NautIQX focuses on hull cleaning without unnecessary lifting, depending on the location, vessel, conditions and level of growth. When in doubt, we can first assess which approach is practical and safe.

How often should a hull be cleaned?

That depends on the type of boat, mooring location, season, use and how quickly growth develops. Boats that stay in the water for a long time or are used less often can build up dirt faster. That is why periodic checks or cleaning are often sensible.

Can hull cleaning be combined with drone inspection?

Yes. This is a strong combination. You can inspect first to see what is happening underwater and then clean with focus. The other way around is also possible: first clean and then check which attention points become more visible.

What is included in Luxury Yacht Care?

Luxury Yacht Care focuses on premium care, appearance and detail. The exact service depends on your vessel and wishes. Think of visible care, attention to the waterline, presentation and possible combination with hull cleaning or underwater inspection.

Is Luxury Yacht Care only for large yachts?

No. The service is also suitable for sloops, exclusive boats and smaller vessels whose owners value appearance, neatness and careful maintenance.

When is Luxury Yacht Care useful?

Luxury Yacht Care is especially useful before the boating season, before sale or rental, for guests or events, or as a fixed maintenance routine. It helps your vessel look representative and professional.

What is included in a maintenance subscription?

A maintenance subscription is tailored to your vessel. It can consist of periodic underwater inspection, hull cleaning, Luxury Yacht Care, visual follow-up and maintenance moments that fit your vessel, location and use.

Is the subscription a fixed package?

No. NautIQX does not work with one standard package. The maintenance rhythm is tailored to your vessel, use, mooring location and desired services. This way, you get a maintenance plan that logically fits your situation.

Is a maintenance subscription suitable for marinas or companies?

Yes. For marinas, companies or multiple vessels, a tailored maintenance plan can be discussed. This is useful when planning, recurring service and overview are important.

In which area does NautIQX work?

NautIQX discusses the location and practical options for each request. For boats, sloops and yachts in marinas or mooring locations, we can check which service is most feasible.

How do I request a quote?

You can submit your request through the contact page. Preferably mention the type of vessel, the location, the desired service and any attention points. NautIQX can then think along with you in a focused way.

What information does NautIQX need?

Useful information includes the boat type, length, mooring location, desired maintenance, reason for the request and possibly photos or special details. The clearer the request, the better the service can be tailored.

Still unsure?

Let NautIQX help determine which service fits your vessel.

Not every boat needs the same approach. Sometimes inspection is enough, sometimes hull cleaning is more logical, and sometimes a maintenance subscription is the best solution.
